1. You can check the current version of your map data in your Discover Pro system by pressing the “NAV” button.
"Settings" (Inst.) and "Version" (Versjonsinformasjon) in the display.

2. Go to Volkswagen.de to check whether a newer version is available.

1. Visit the website Volkswagen, to download the latest update.
       Select VW model, year and system (Discovery Pro/Media) and start downloading.
       Depending on your internet connection it can take some time.

2. Download all of the files for the new version and save them together in a new folder on your computer.

3. Insert the SD card into your computer and format it with FAT16 or FAT32.

4. Open the first file in the folder on your computer with the downloaded data (extension .7z.001).

5. Extract the files to the SD card.

6. The folders "Mib1", "Mib2" and the file "metainfo2.txt" should be on the root of the SD card.

7. Once extraction is complete, safely remove the SD card from your computer.

This is how it should look like on the root of your USB-stick / SD-card.

1. Insert the SD card into one of the SD card slots of your Discover Pro system.

2. Press the “NAV” button > “Setup (Inst)” > “Version information” > “Update software (Oppdatering)”.

3. Press "NEXT (Videre). The data will now be copied to the navigation system’s internal flashdrive.
       Just lay back and take a coke while you wait for the copying to reach 100% :-).

Please note:
The ignition must remain switched on while copying is in progress.
The navigation function is not available during copying.
Due to the large volume of data involved and depending on the SD card used,
this procedure can take up to 4 hours. Should the procedure be interrupted
by the engine is switched off. Copying will automatically resume at the point
of interruption as soon as the ignition is switched on again.
